This data protection notice applies to the BMW Group Partner Portal Internet service (hereinafter referred to as “Portal”), which is offered by BMW AG (hereinafter referred to as “BMW”) on the website https://b2b.bmw.com.

Employees of BMW AG and its affiliated companies have access via the BMW Intranet via the website https://b2b.bmwgroup.net.

The user's personal data collected during registration and use of the portal is processed and used for the purpose of contract processing in accordance with German data protection regulations.

Personal data protection

To ensure the required confidentiality of communication, it is necessary to collect, process and transfer personal data (personal data).
BMW ensures compliance with internationally recognized data protection standards and ensures that personnel responsible for data processing meet security and confidentiality standards.
Data is only collected, transmitted and processed in the manner described below. Should the scope of use change, BMW will inform users in an appropriate and timely manner and, if necessary, obtain their consent.

It is possible to use the public part of the portal without disclosing your identity.
Access to the non-public pages of the portal is limited to employees of BMW and their affiliated companies and partner companies selected by BMW worldwide and requires prior registration.
In order to properly provide services and to securely identify and authorize the user, the following information about users is collected and stored for the non-public information offered:

Employer's company name, mailing address and supplier number Name, job title, organizational unit, telephone number, and email address

Online identification (user name) and password

Application-related personal configuration settings and preferences.

All personal data is collected during registration and must be confirmed personally by the user. No data is collected from other sources such as public directory services or external information providers.
As the provider of this portal, BMW reserves the right to thoroughly check the data contained in user registrations and to reject registration requests, or to block access in whole or in part - even at short notice.
BMW will not make any personal data available to third parties. However, users are able to distribute personal data on their own responsibility via the communication service.

Attendee directory

In order to be able to maintain the range of communication services, BMW provides a central directory service for all subscribers.
This directory service contains the personal data required to establish communication relationships. BMW will keep the amount of this data as low as possible.
Personal data will only be included in the central directory service with the prior consent of the relevant persons in accordance with the user's declaration of consent under data protection law. Consent is voluntary and can be withdrawn at any time.

Security and confidentiality

BMW uses extensive technical and organizational protective measures to prevent misuse, in particular by:

unauthorized modification or transfer of confidential information

Logging of personal data

As part of the automatic data processing of applications accessible via the portal, BMW also logs personal data for the following purposes:

For user administration and authentication

To maintain operations and targeted troubleshooting (data security).
Only a few selected persons have access to the log data; they are bound to maintain data secrecy.

Data transfer abroad

Since the BMW AG companies and their affiliated companies participating in the portal are based worldwide, personal data may also be transferred to countries outside the European Union where an adequate level of data protection may not be guaranteed.

Anonymous data and cookies

BMW uses cookies for session handling. This is the only way to reliably assign actions to a specific user and to establish access rights. The cookies used are only used for the duration of a session and contain as a personal date only an individual session ID which is assigned to a registered user for later traceability.

Children's privacy

The BMW Group Partner Portal is not accessible to children. BMW will not knowingly collect or record any personal data from children under 13 years of age without the prior consent of the parent or guardian. BMW is committed to complying with the Children's Online Protection Act of US law.

Right of information and right of withdrawal

BMW enables users to update, correct or block information about themselves at any time.
Registered users can find out about the data stored about them at any time and free of charge. For this purpose, a self-disclosure system is available in the non-public part of the information offered. Alternatively, you can use the contact options provided at the end of this data protection notice.
Consent granted can be withdrawn at any time via the portal menu 'Objection access conditions' (under 'Personalization').
Requests for information and withdrawals are processed free of charge.
